Enjoying my time in England 🌞❤️

Hey!

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating this much lately! It’s just hard to find inspiration when you’re not around the horses!

Now however! Things have changed and I’m very excited to slowly but surely let you in on all the little secrets about what’s been going on lately!

This is big!

I’m so so so happy I could burst!

If you follow my other social media pages you will know some already. Not to worry though blog readers – I will update you too!

But not in this post! In this post I will share some lovely moments from my time back in the UK which I’m loving to the fullest!

I was so happy to see Danza again! I’ve missed her so much! And the thoughts that’s been spinning around in my head has been so dark – having to think along the lines of having to sell my black princess was breaking my heart!

However – I don’t think I need to think down those lines any longer because I am feeling much better! And me and Danza are very happy about that!

The weather has been treating me quite nicely! Unfortunately the selfies are not improving!

All the horses here are well! I’m enjoying spending time at the yard again. Cuddling & hugging all the boys and girls! Watching the horses working. Seeing all the clients and my friends again – it is such a lovely feeling ❤️

Of course this one!

And my gerbils! But they have not been very willing objects to photograph yet, I will keep trying!

Hope you have enjoyed all these pictures! I do love sharing my pictures. Do you enjoy them? Or would you prefer less pictures and more writing? I’d love to hear your opinion!

Winter has come to Essex

Hey you lovely lot of readers! Today is the last day of the Instagram challenge I’ve been doing this past month.

I am still waiting for results after my MRI. And to be frankly honest with you all – the waiting and not knowing is killing me. Making me quite anxious actually, I don’t like it.

It has been cold for the last little while and today a field of snow greeted me as I woke up this morning.

Was a beautiful morning. But it has it kills and the tap is now broken – great stuff!

I am trying to make myself useful in the house – but not really succeeding. I need a maid basically cus I’m rubbish. Though I’m not to bad at making pancakes.

Danza is bored. But being a good girl. What I’ll do with her will all depend on these blooming MRI results that are driving me mad. Can you tell??

Oh and sleep. What is sleep? Why does sleep hate me? Do you have any tips on how to declare my love for sleep. So it can please come back to me. I am begging you sleep ❤️ hahaha

I need a new pillow. At the moment I have 4, but none are great. I keep waking up to swap every few hours. If anyone has good suggestions on a saving pillow – well feel free to throw it this way!

These little munchkins still make me smile, even on my darkest days. I don’t know what I’d do without them. Maybe that’s why I’m getting so upset. Because I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to do what I love.

Well anyway.

Arrived in Norway

Hey there!

Gosh it is cold and gonna get colder yet.

PLEASE clothes be warm!

I am super excited though!

Today I am teaching 4 people down in Østfold, two old clients and two people I’ve never meet before.

And tomorrow I’m heading up to Trondheim.

I’ve actually booked me and dad into an hotel close to the airport so I don’t have to get up at 4.30 am in the morning – spolied now!

Yesterday the farrier was here

So they all got new little tootsie’s.

I did some babysitting and I taught Jen. And you know what!!

She had a canter!

How nice is that! Well done to them!

Jen came to me after loosing her confidence and she was considering giving up riding – and now look at her! Beaming! So happy for her!

I will end this post with a picture of my lil’boys

Aren’t they just adorable!

Pre Birthday Celebrations – Family Visit

This has been a very unusual weekend – as I haven’t been horseying around!

My dad and his girlfriend has been here. My cousin and her boyfriend stayed in Cambridge.

We have been eating lovely food

We managed to escape the escape room!!

We went to Colchester Zoo and now more than ever do I want a bird ❤️

Look how beautiful they are!

Under here is a slideshow from the Zoo. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It’s quite a lot of pictures but I hope you enjoy it!

It was a lovely weekend. They obviously got to meet Danza and Squirrelie too, I’m pretty sure both of them thought it was great! Or shall I say all four of them, animals and humans haha!

Seeing how it was fathers Day yesterday I will end this with this picture.

And hope your week will be good!

Next week is going to be epic!

OMG! I can’t wait for next week! My Trondheim clinic is up and it is absolutely packed!! How amazing is that? I am so excited! Can’t wait!

Danza is still on boxrest and hand walking – naughty bramble! But tomorrow I will steal Ziezu and have a lesson on her. We will see how it goes because I have done something to my arm.

Not great! It is much better now and I can cope with just a bandage but gosh it is soooooo weak! Ugh! Not great. I feel often when you got a bump more bumps follow. Untill they smoothen out by themselves. Just need to ride it out. Easier said than done but hey!

The photos from my photoshoot has come through and they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Can’t wait to show you guys! Still need to decide on my top 16. I’ve managed to narrow it down to I think 18, only two more has to go. But I am so torn! Will make an own post for this photoshoot and tell you all about it! I loved it! And the photos. Looking so much forward to be able to show them off!

Hope this weekend has treated you well. This last week has been very busy. But should have more time as traveling next week. I find that a great time to write blogs actually.

Get to know my dance partner – Danza

Continuing on the introductions, I think it is time for you to get to know my precious little princess!

Let’s get the facts out first.
Name; D’alie’s Dance
Date Of Birth; 26-05-08
Sex; Mare
Breeding: Sire – Sarento(Sandro Hit) Dam – Don Primaire(Donnerhall)
Height; 17.1/2 HH
Nicknames; Princess, Sweetiepops,Grumpysaur, Ploppsi, Sunshine. But the most used one is Danza.

_AH19043

Danza has been with me since December time 2016 so our relationship is still fairly new.
When I bought her she was being advertised mainly as a broodmare as she had shown to be difficult to sell as a pure competition horse.
I had seen her out for sale before, but for a price I could not afford. When I then saw her again, I couldn’t resist. I went and saw her. Rode her. Barely got any tune out of her AT ALL, but loved the feeling of her paces and the fact she didn’t hurt my body.
I shouted out to Heather ” She is soooooo comfy!”
And then I hear Heather say to the guy – your horse has found herself a new home. This was true.

Danza has a strong competition record up to Medium, and on her climb achieved scores up to 80% – we have not competed yet.

DSC_0886

She is a lady who knows what she wants and is not scared of letting you know. She is very strong willed, has strong opinions about life – what should happen and what she don’t think should happen. She is quite some lady!!

But at the same time.

She is an incredibly affectionate horse. She will follow your every move around the yard & talk to you. Hugs and kisses are given at any time she can and she absolutely loves cuddles. Eating and getting groomed are two of her favourite activities. She is in her own way a little bit timid but filled with love.

_AH19056

I knew buying her was to take a chance on something that maybe would go well or maybe not.
Even though we have had our ups and downs – no horse has ever taught me as much as Danza. She is so challenging and no day is like the other.

She is the horse that has really opened up my mind, my toolbox is bigger than ever and I’ve learnt to become very humble yet with a no-nonsense approach towards the horses I work with.

Danza is a horse which is very awake and a little useless at being outside-she finds that quite terrifying. It is getting better, the calming cookies are really helping her – though she is not wind or waterproof yet!

Patience is a virtue and princess needs daily reminders about this…to wait – take a chill pill!

She has the most gorgeous eye’s. They have so much expression and depth in them – she has a lot of history to tell.

And with that – the introduction is over. Hope I’ve managed to create a determined, witty and loving picture of my dance partner.

If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them!

Do you have a introduction post about your horse? I’d love to read it, please drop me a link!

Let me introduce you to *drumrolls*

The Quendon School Horses

So where I keep my horse in the UK is Quendon Dressage & Training
Heather who runs it is a very good friend of mine and has been one of my trainers for 8 years. She offers dressage lessons on her amazing school masters.
I thought it would be nice for you to see some beautiful pictures of them and get some more information.

Ziezu:

DSC_0525.JPG

Is the only mare in the school. She is a very big KWPN, probably short of 18HH but her heart must be equeally big, if not even bigger.
She has amazing big paces, specially her canter. But at the same time is beautifully collected and balanced. She has started working towards her tempi changes but still needs a bit of help to get it right. Passage is a little bit her party trick and piaffe is a working progress. She sticks her tounge out – but nobody here minds that. She is one very loved horse and people really enjoy her.

Matulik:

Is Heathers old competition horse. He is a very powerful Hannoverian gelding standing 17.1/2HH. I have known him as long as I’ve known Heather. And must I say – he is very special to me. He does everything – apart from piaffing. Though after Heather bought him a fairfax bridle – he is closer than ever! He is a bit more technical to ride and is very clear about what he likes and not – but WOW when you find his buttons he gives you the most amazing feel! His party trick is to throw in one time changes – he is like a machine then once he get’s going. Very loved boy!

Imp Act aka Ben:

He is a beautiful older gentleman who used to do cross country up to 2 stars. He is an Irish Draught and stands at 16.3. He is the sweetest most gentle horse we have and is perfect for people who have lost their confidence a little or feel a bit anxious. This is your man! He is very well schooled on the flat, does all the lateral work and has changes down to two times. He is very comfortable and lovely to ride and be around, though sometimes he can be a little bit shy. He loves cuddles and food!

This is the oldest and most cheeky man of them all!
He is a 15.1/2 PRE gelding with a bunch of personality! He is like a mirror of the rider and great teacher – no matter your level, he will have somthing to teach you. He learnt everything he knows after an age of 17 – which is very inspiring i think!
He has all the lateral work, changes(they’re not perfect, but functional), piaffe, passage & spanish walk. And he absolutely loves working – he is like a little duracell bunny, he never runs out of energy. I think everyone loves this cheeky little chap!

Is a kwpn gelding around 16.2HH and is a full out Grand Prix horse.
He is a very sweet guy who enjoys his job here very much. He is a true gentleman, but he still knows how to have fun. He likes to teach more novice people the feel of the movements and is very forgiving. But equally so he loves going round strutting his stuff and showing off with the more experienced riders. He doesn’t have the biggest movements, but he does try his little heart out to please you.

I hope you liked this post – feel free to ask any questions about the school horses, I am more than happy to answer them.

All pictures are taken by me.

Wish you all a lovely weekend.

One last picture – just because I love Mattiemu so much!

Aaaaaaaand swap!

The last girl for the summer is here! And she couldn’t have come at a better time as my back has decided to quit.

Nicola, a girl I teach a few times a months luckily could help me so I’m better today and have homework/stretches to do until next time. Aah wish me luck!

Maren came on friday and will stay til Sunday which will be lovely.

Maren used to be a client of mine when I worked in Moss, Norway many years ago.

She’s getting the hang of this hay bale!

And needed a carrot after that! She’s worn out already haha!

Unfortunately the weather forecast showing rain was wrong – gutted! Ment to be getting up towards 32 degrees again this week, really NOT good!

In the evening I went on a walk with Karen, her dog and Maren and stumbled across this bit of green patch – what is that?! How did it get there?!

Anyway, dinner is almost ready now. I will try to make some more inspiring blog posts this week.

It’s cooling down & there has been lots of goodies!

The beginning of this week has been great! Everything is going well, Evelyn is having a good handle on the yard and I am enjoying the last day of teaching before Heather comes back tomorrow. Will be nice to have her back tho!

Other stuff that has happened this week is that I bought a grooming bag because it had Danzas favourite brush in it!

Another thing that arrived are these;

Danza is working well and we are pushing our boundaries! It feels so nice to be working together with her and not against her which it sometimes has felt like up til now. But that is all part of the journey!

I will let that picture speak for itself and end this blog here haha! Tomorrow is a vlog day!

Let’s kickoff this week with a waterfall of pictures

The last week just disappeared – what happened? Went so quickly!

Elisabeth is back home in Sweden and Evelyn has arrived and will stay til Friday morning.

Here are some more of the pictures from the photoshoot;

It is really nice to have some lovely moment’s captured like this, you can always keep them with you, forever

This week kicks off with some proper hot day’s and then it is ment to cool down a little, and even ment to rain – SO EXCITED!

Heather is still away, she will be back Wednesday night so I have a few more day’s of teaching, my real passion. I’m really enjoying Heathers holiday( haha ). I love riding aswel, but there is just something so special to be able to take part in and help other people on their journeys – love that!

And on that note! I want to wish you all a good start to a new week.
