I created a poll on my Instagram where my followers could vote if they wanted to have a like before behind the scenes of a photoshoot I had with the amazing Elizabeth ❤️
They could vote for blog or vlog, neither or both. And they voted for both!
So I thought I would share what I wore, what I did with my hair & how I prepared Danza on here. Then make a make up vlog with some top tips for your next photoshoot!
What am I wearing;
Top is from Quiz I really love this shop as it has clothes for all different shapes and it is not very expensive.
I am wearing black high-waisted jeans – hides a multitude of sins!! Which are from American Eagle
My shoes are from Schuh and they’re on sale!! (Omg I’m so jealous right now!) link to the shoes – they’re beautiful and really comfortable!
Danza is wearing her Micklem bridle I bought her second hand.
I am not great with make-up it has to be said! So it is very simple. If you want to know what I used – you’ll have to check out the vlog.
I will say this though! I bought a new foundation from No7 and I absolutely love it. Here is a link to it. Cheap, easy and variable- so cool!
I wore my hair natural as didn’t have time to curl it – which was my original plan.
So I don’t have any fancy brushes i just use a curry comb and body brush first. I then take a sponge or a cloth dip it in water and slide over to get even more dust out the coat(black horse is like a magnet for dust) before finishing it off with show shine. Mane and tail gets a brush through with main and tail tetangler.
And we are now ready to go!
Hope you enjoyed this little one even though it is a bit different from my normal blogs!
So Danza has been a really good girl and been going out with all the other horses, in a new field even. Unfortunately as she’s not very good at being a horse….. she got stuck in a bramble bush (not bad she did eventually figure out this was a bad idea) but the thorns left her a reminder and she’s been off work with infected leg this week. Gaaaaah! So annoying when things were going so well…. Typical horses.
Her leg is almost back to normal now and I plan on starting to gently ride her again over the weekend.
We won September’s online dressage competition as I’ve said before but thought I could share the prices with you.
Danza liked her rossie ❤️ and the colour red suits her beautifully I think, haha!
Quito in the other hand, was not so impressed when I let him borrow it;
“OMG human….what are you doing to me”
Haha at least we know for the future that he will not be scared of having rosettes put on his bridle – first time can be slightly overly excitable! Trust me I’ve been there!
Anyway. Today I am out shopping, trying to find something nice for my photoshoot on Wednesday with Liz Ebsworth Photography and I am so excited! Would be more excited if I found anything to wear!!
I am wishing you all a lovely weekend and I’ll talk to you again soon!
Today it’s Wednesday & it’s still sunny! When is the rain going to come? As I mentioned a little while back I was playing with my camera and would share some photos with you. Quito is always really easy to photograph, he is a lovely colour with an amazing expression in his face and so much presence.
Ziezu never keeps her tongue in place which is part of her personality and we love her for it – even though for competition purposes she wouldn’t be great because of it, she’s perfect for us. I really love her work ethic and kind personality, it’s not so easy to come by.
Then we have Danza, with Debbie riding. In some ways I really love this photo and in others I hate it; I will explain why! Pros: She has a lovely hindleg, it’s really underneath her, she is fairly uphill and not behind the vertical, it’s almost a bit mystical. Cons: the light is not great, the picture is blurry, I have a strange set of light coming in through the open wall creating a bad shape which goes through Danza, splitting her almost in half & it’s not clear enough.
But I still like it -with all it’s imperfections!
I need to teach myself to be able to criticise me and my work but still allow myself to appreciate the good parts of it at the same time, which I find really hard. I only do photography as a hobby because it is something I really quite enjoy doing, but I still am really hard on myself. I would really love to learn how to properly use the camera and how to work in lightroom/photoshop and such thing’s – one day maybe.
It’s the same in all aspects of my life, even though I choose to be almost a little impersonal it’s a start to open up and it can only get better by practicing.
I hope you’re enjoying the week so far.
The last week just disappeared – what happened? Went so quickly!
Elisabeth is back home in Sweden and Evelyn has arrived and will stay til Friday morning.
Here are some more of the pictures from the photoshoot;
It is really nice to have some lovely moment’s captured like this, you can always keep them with you, forever❤
This week kicks off with some proper hot day’s and then it is ment to cool down a little, and even ment to rain – SO EXCITED!
Heather is still away, she will be back Wednesday night so I have a few more day’s of teaching, my real passion. I’m really enjoying Heathers holiday( haha ). I love riding aswel, but there is just something so special to be able to take part in and help other people on their journeys – love that!
And on that note! I want to wish you all a good start to a new week.
The sun keeps shining, we keep smiling and we keep sweating! 😂 lovely picture, I know! But what can we do? Apparently it is ment to be a few cooler days now and then heat up again – we really need RAIN! Never thought I would ask for rain, but here we go.
Heather is off on holiday tomorrow and we have Elisabeth here as first lady out of our three summer helpers! She came on Friday and will be staying til Thursday, the next one up will arrive some time Friday.
Today has been a vlog day and it’s been so much fun. If you want to subscribe to my YouTube channel you can click here. Today’s vlog will be out tomorrow. It is filled up with loads of fun!
I also took quite a few pictures today of some of the lessons which I will share with you once I’ve edited them.
I hope you all have had a great weekend and been enjoying the weather! Feel free to drop a comment and let me know what you all have been up to.

Oh My GOD!!
Something is going on and it’s something really good! It is such a long time ago I felt happy like this – and gosh it’s a nice feeling! I almost don’t believe it – I am going to embrace it and hold on to it for as long as I can.
It’s something which is really hard for me! When I’m out teaching I’m comfortable, confident and trust myself – but take that environment away from me and I want to just go and hide!
Writing it here, makes it even more real! And that’s fine!
We all deserve to be happy and enjoy what we do and who we are and also the feelings we are experiencing, they’re all welcomed, even if they’re positive! ( I’m convinced you all think I’m nuts at this point! But honest to God – positivity is something I don’t often let in – it is a working progress! )
So anyway! My horse has been on the Calming Powder for about 5 days now and then I give her a cookie before riding and it’s like someone has gone and swapped my horse out for a new one! It is absolutely amazing the difference in her. I am over the moon!
Later today my vlog will hopefully be out – so excited can’t wait to share it with you!
This week has been filled up with loads of stuff!
Unfortunately the horse we were ment to look at on Thursday was sold but we are not giving up. Patience is key! Never rush the process of finding a new horse.
Wednesday I had a photoshoot with Danza…. she was wild 😂 but behaved very well under saddle. Hoping the pictures will come through this weekend.
I’ve ridden in my bew boots, LOVE them 😍 as you might have noticed if you follow me on Instagram.
If you don’t, here are some pictures!
I snapped this photo just outside our back door-how beautiful is this? Love our sunsets!
I have also bought this:
Excited to try them out!
Have a nice weekend.
