Old memories written by my first guest blogger and friend – Olivia

Hejsan!

My name is Olivia, and I’m an old friend to our beloved Ancha. I live in a small village in Jämtland Sweden, with my boyfriend and our two dogs. Enzo, a black german shepherd and Lacost, a Shetland sheepdog. Of course, i do also have a horse. He’s name is Tony. He is a 23 year old american paint horse which has been mine since he was 7.

Me and Ancha have been friends for at least 18 years. We met for the first time in the stable, when we started riding together at a riding school. We were both horse crazy and had the same interests. My thoughts with this post was to share some memories. Give you a picture of the young Ancha.

I have a LOT of memories with this adorable person. One of the strongest ones are the day when Ancha got her Norlandshäst Lenda. Me and my mum went there to see her reaction – you see Ancha didn’t know she was getting her. I remember it so well! Anchas face when she saw the horse in the paddock. Her laughter and the joy! I could really feel in my own body how happy she was. The following weeks we spent a lot of time together in the stable with her new horse and we had so much fun.

Another strong memory, a couple of years later. Ancha had a horse called Bella, a beautiful black swedish warmblood pony. Both Ancha and her mother had covered their mares with two gorgeous stallions. The result was two lovely fillies. When i went to visit i fell in love with them. Social little creatures, with the best mums.

Since then it became a little dream of mine to become a breeder. But, as you grow up you realize that you have to spend so much time and so much money to end up as a professional breeder, and i happend to like my life as it was. So this dream has til now not been fulfilled.

After that summer, Ancha went for her adventures.

I have so much more to share, but have to end somewhere. So my last words on this post
– Ancha, i miss our crazy movienights at your grandmas house, when we watched the saddle club and all the other horsie-movies. I miss to have you around. Even if we haven’t seen eachother for a very long time, I still se you as one of my best friends.

With love
Olivia
